Happy Thanksgiving from the EBF Team!
The history of Thanksgiving is a beautiful one, and as the celebration of the day, as well as its meaning, has changed and adapted to modern times, it has retained its wonderful message.
Thanksgiving was first established as a day when explorers would give thanks to God for safe passage through the ‘New World’. Over time, it became a day where Canadians would thank God for bountiful harvests. Though the majority of us no longer reap harvests from our land, we can apply the same logic of ‘harvests’ to our everyday life: harvests in business, harvests in family, harvests as a nation.
At EBF, we would like to express our gratitude for the many bountiful harvests that we have reaped over the last few decades. We thank our loyal customers, without whom, we would not exist. We also thank our incredibly hard-working employees, who make what we do possible.
Gareth Bird, our Chief Financial Officer, perfectly encompasses our sentiment in this wonderful statement, “As we gather around this Thanksgiving, we at Express Business Funding want to extend our deepest gratitude to all our incredible employees. To our back-office team and those involved in operations and administration — you are the unsung heroes of EBF. Your dedication, attention to detail, and tireless effort ensure our company runs smoothly every day. We couldn’t do it without you.
We also want to take a moment to thank the public service workers who keep our community thriving. Your unwavering commitment to serving others is a true inspiration, and we are so grateful for the essential role you play in our lives.
This Thanksgiving, we are reminded of how fortunate we are to have such a hardworking, caring, and dedicated team and community. Thank you for all that you do.”
Finally, we would like to express our gratitude, and give thanks to God, without whom, we would have nothing. Our harvests are thanks to him, as are the hands and minds that keep our company, and our nation, yielding bountiful harvests!
